DAILY SCHEDULE AND SPECIAL PROGRAMS

Daily Schedule Time Block I     Self-Selected Activities/Play

7:15 - 9:00             Children Arrive. Heterogeneous (mixed) age groups.
                                 Greet children & parents (health check),
                                 Self-Selected Activities/Play,
                                 Indoor and/or outdoor play (games, books, toys)
                                 Toileting and Hand washing.

Time Block II    Nursery School: Learn Through Play, First Hand

9:00-11:30       Experience and planned Activities

                                 Homogeneous (same) age groups.
                                 Group Activity: Prayer, Circle, Sharing Calendar, Stories,
                                 Learning Games, Play (table games)

                                 Gross Motor Activity (Room 1/3 & outside)
                                 Gym (Gross Motor)-Non Competitive Activity, Exercise with
                                 CD's, Walks/Jog around building. Play (Large Muscle
                                 Equipment/Games)

                                 Music and Movement: Sing, creative movement, dramatization,
                                 musical stories

                                 Bathroom/Hands/Snack: Stories/Books/Puzzles (Individual)

                                 Play and Projects: Self Selected Activities, exploration of activities
                                 & equipment in classroom; dramatic play, blocks, easel paiting, games,
                                 manipulatives, books, sand/water tables, cooking. Planned activities/
                                 projects, individual and group creative art and crafts, science, concrete
                                 mathematics language (listening/specking/reading/writing preparation
                                 activities ), special occasion projects.
                                       1 staff supervise play & free choice of activities
                                       1 staff supervise small group or individuals

Time Block III   Lunch/Play/Prepare for Rest
11:30 - 1:30:           Playground and/or Walk 
                                 Bathroom/Wash hands 
                                 Lunch
                                 Set up cots-Settle down time (CD's, books, stories, tapes)

Time Block IV   Rest
1:30 - 3:00               Rest/Sleep on cots
2:00                          children who do not sleep, provide quiet activities under staff supervision.

Time Block V    Self-Selected Activity
3:00 - 6:00               Heterogeneous age groups, Bathroom/Hands/Snack,
                                  Self-Selected Activity in classrooms, Outdoor Large Motor
                                  Activities on Playground, Stories/Books, Dismissal
