OUR MISSIONThe Church has always placed high value on the development of a strong, personal character, in which religious values predominate; a vibrant, caring family life; and a strong sense that the community is an extension of one's family life. The Church has also placed high value on the belief in the basic integrity and worth of every human being. To this end, the teaching and care of children in their early formative years, the nurturing of family relationships, and the enhancement of parents' personal and professional development all fall within the scope of the teaching and pastoral ministry of the church. The mission of The Children's Corner of Bridgewater United Methodist Church (BUMC) is part of the mission of BUMC itself. In The Children's Corner, BUMC extends its pastoral care and teaching ministry in a special way to the parents and children of the BUMC community. The Children's Corner of BUMC seeks specifically to provide a Christian community in which to nurture and care for children on a daily basis. The Children's Corner of BUMC hopes to provide a fertile context in which each child (and the community of children) and parent (and the community of parents) may develop the foundation for a distinctively Christian way of life.
