REST

Children who attend all day shall have afternoon rest. The Children's Corner provides an individual cot for each child's comfort during rest periods. Children must bring a child sized sleeping bag and pillow for personal use for comfort and DYFS rules. Please place this in a labeled cloth bag. The center does not provide sleeping bags as we do not have laundry facilities. Your child may bring ONE cuddly to rest with in the afternoon. Please put this soft item with the sleeping bag.

LUNCHES, SNACKS, and BIRTHDAYS

Lunch: Lunches for child care clients may be provided by parents/guardians. They may also be purchased on a bi-weekly basis through our offsite lunch program.

Snacks: Nutritious snacks will be provided by the center in the morning and afternoon each day. (juice in the morning and milk in the afternoon)

PLEASE sign up about once every three weeks to bring a healthy snack for your child to share with his or her classmates. Snack calendars are posted outside each classroom, along with our suggested list of healthy snack ideas. We encourage you to celebrate your child's birthday with ice cream, fruit, or yogurt. IF YOUR CHILD HAS ANY ALLERGIES PLEASE LET US KNOW IMMEDIATELY.

TRANSPORTATION

Each parent is responsible for providing transportation or making arrangements for carpooling. For your child's protection, children must be brought to the teacher each day. The teacher must be notified in writing if someone other than the parent will be picking up the child.

HEALTH

The State of New Jersey requires a health examination and up-to-date immunizations appropriate to a child's age.

Sick Children: We do not provide sick child care.

Medication shall be administered only after the parent has submitted a COMPLETED "Medication Permission Form", which shall be maintained in the office and stored in the child's folder upon completion.
